I had a really weird problem this morning. I was in Kamadan (europe d1) and messaged a person for a trade. Then I waited... and waited... and noticed that something seemed to be wrong. All the spam in the local and trade channels had suddenly almost stopped and barely anyone was moving. I could move around completely normally though. I checked my friend's list, and it had a button that said I'd disconnected from it. No pop-ups telling me about it, I wouldn't even have noticed the disconnection if I hadn't checked my friends list. Well, I pressed the button and got the reconnect box. I typed in my password.... and got an error, something about my internet connection not functioning properly and being unable to connect (don't remember the error number, I was in a hurry so I could catch the trade).

All this time it looked like I was still ingame, except I couldn't send any messages to anyone. I could still move around though. Well, I tried again, and got the same error. I checked my internet connection and it was working fine. I had to completely log out and log back in before the game worked again properly. Missed the trade though.

Anyway, I had a lot of error 040 a few days ago, but everything's been working fine during the weekend. I live in Finland too and a few days ago pretty much all of my guild had connection issues, but nobody has been complaining during the weekend.

Hi Gaile,

I'm on the Euro Servers and in England.
I had a lot of connection issues over the weekend, but the worst was last night (19th Feb) from 6pm to 11pm (when i was playing). Almost every time i left a town i got 'error code =007', and to say the least it was annoying.
It wasnt just me, but a lot of my Guild members from England too.

This seems to be better this morning when i played before work (7.30am to 8.30am), but then there are a LOT less people playing on the servers.

Edit: I forgot to mention the lag as well. All weekend the ping count was terrible and i suffered from huge amounts of lag and this continued on Monday Night. My PC shouldnt be the issue with 2048MB Ram, Core Duo processor and 512 ATI Graphics card.

Okay. I live in Australia I was waiting 1/2 hr to connect to an area. Not to mention, Blurry icons/Guildless issues (previously mentioned) Also huge PING counts. I'm sure having a ping as high 27,980 isn't good since it used to be 435-549. What's been happening in there?

So yea. That's my accesment.

I closed guildwars , and now I alwas get err 58 when I want to login...
I checked the firewall as guildwars.com told me.
the problem appeared from one second to the other

nothing changed at my internet connection ...

Just had a couple of drops while gvging: once was at 9:35pm PST and another at 9:44pm PST. three other members of our guild either had severe lag or disconnected. I'm in Northern California, and we're all in PST time zone.

edit: lagged out again at 9:53pm, and again at 10:01pm PST.

I Play from California, on the american servers and yesterday at 10:30 pm PST I got an err 7 trying to watch a match in observer mode. Then again at 11:00 pm PST. i recived an err 19 while sitting in my guild hall chatting with people.

Not to mention the unbelivable lagg that im having with the game no matter where i am. Ive noticed alot of my european buddies switching from their European Servers to the american servers to cut down on the amount of times that they are being kicked. It may not be the reason why the american servers are now starting to Lagg unbelivably but im guessing it might have somthign to do with it. i dunno. Either way, its starting to suck, including the fact that my guild is in the Tourney, and most all of my guildies are worried about what might happen should one of us err 19 or err7 and not be able to reconnect. Its worrysome, for everyone playing in the tournament. You can have the best build, the best players, get a person who cant reconnect to the game after disconnect, and lose big time. (Would it be possible to allow that person to be replaced by a computer controlled henchman if that does happen mid match?)

Howdy, Well i was readin through this thread and even though the lag and the problems have been on European servers. But infact i play from California, and i play on the American servers, In 30 minutes between 10:30 & 11:00 i got an err code 7 and err code 19, i was able relog quickly. but when these happened i was sitting in my guild hall, going into watch a match on observer mode. The second was just standing in my guild hall doing NOTHING but typing.

My alliance is mostly european, and alot of them havnt been on latly. But the most of them that have been on switched from European districts, to American Servers. Maybe this is starting to make the american servers start to lag a bit? i dunno, but all of my guildies latly are worried becasue we are in the tourney, and with all of this lagg we are worried one of us might err 19. Maybe even err 7 going into a match and not be able to play the game with a full team. I dunno its worriesome.

I was lagging last night on the American server. Was doing quests outside monastery and get hit by lag spike every 2 to 3 minutes. Three times where I was disconnected.

we were 2 people playing, and we got kicked with error code 40 when we tried to enter the "Grand Court of Sebelkah", and we are now unable to log in.

It has been very "laggy" all evening, around 600ms

Again, more problems this morning. Mornings are normally fine, but today i kept getting disconnects and error code = 007's.

Please sort out these lag, dc and server issues before they destroy the ability to play the game

Whois just returns information about the entity who owns the IP address, not about the real physical location of the server. So all you get from the whois lookup is that NC Austin office owns it.

But… I tried looking up that same IP Address using GeoIP, and it does return a location in the USA (more precisely: Chewelah, WA). But this could just indicate that GeoIP doesn't have updated information on that netblock.

Oh, and since we're talking about location… I'm in Brazil, playing on American servers (I think. Server IP is in 216.* block, can't remember the exact address now).

I've been experiencing really bad connection/lag issues in the past few weeks, exactly like described by ArenaNet for European servers. Big lag spikes (30k ping) every 5 minutes or so are making the game almost unplayable. Whatever the problem is, it's affecting more than Europeans only, and I hope it's fixed soon.

Just logged in, got kicked with a code 40 and can't log in anymore. After selecting a character i get a Code=13 instantly, ~18:15 GMT

Logged in, stood in a town for a while, couldn't travel anymore so I thought it must be lag so I restarted the Client and then err=013 kicked in. This been from 7:15PM GMT+1
